Webinar: Changing Culture through Outcomes with Sarah Morrill from Plummer Youth Promise

Event Type:
Webinar
Event Host:
ACRC & Moderator Neal Sternberg
Date:
Wednesday, May 2, 2018 - 11:00am to 1:00pm

Attendees will learn that when outcome measurement and program design are deliberately integrated, it reinforces the residential intervention and strengthens agency proficiency. When intentionally inclusive, focusing on outcomes can change an agency’s culture to embrace learning and innovation and improve results. Illustrated through case study, attendees will learn where to start, who to include and how to analyze current programming to establish short term outcomes and begin to plan for measuring longer term impact. Examples will be provided from the transformative work underway at Plummer Home, a community and residential child welfare services provider for children and youth from birth to 22. The presentation will be from two perspectives: the design process and the impact with staff.

Learning Objectives:

Participants will learn about:
• the 7-step process for shifting a culture from a traditional approach to service provision to deliberate delivery of interventions aimed at specific outcomes;
• the link between organizational strategy, outcome measurement and clinical practice; and
• how service to client can improve when an agency is organized around data knowledge.

Presenters:
Sarah Morrill, MSW, Director of Outcomes and Evaluation, Plummer Youth Promise; Joshua Metcalfe, Group Home Program Director, Plummer Youth Promise
