JOB TITLE: Receptionist/Office Assistant

LOCATION: Brainerd, MN

STATUS: Part Time (20 hours)


Kindred Family Focus, part of the Nexus family of treatment programs, is seeking a part time Receptionist/Office Assistant in our Brainerd, MN office. This position is 20 hours per week, preferably M-F, 8-Noon.
Primary responsibilities include providing support to the Office Coordinator and professional staff in areas of communication, data management and general office functions. Duties include: answering phones and greeting guests, as well as clerical duties such as: word processing, data entry, copying, filing, processing mail, proofreading and other duties as assigned.

Kindred Family Focus is a part of Nexus, a nationally recognized, non-profit company providing comprehensive residential treatment services dedicated to helping youth with emotional and behavior issues, as well as providing a continuum of services for foster care, adoption, treatment foster care, and home-based counseling services.


A high school diploma is required, with additional training in administrative support disciplines preferred. Two years office experience preferred. PC literacy and solid skills in MS Office, Word and Excel required. Typing speed of 45 wpm strongly preferred. Candidate must present a positive and professional image to the public and possess strong organizational, customer service, and written and verbal communication skills. In addition, candidate must have the ability to multi-task, in a high paced administrative environment. The ability to respond professionally to interruptions and adapt to unforeseen circumstances as they occur is imperative. The incumbent must be computer literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft products including Word, Outlook and Excel. In addition, the candidate must be knowledgeable in using general office equipment such as fax machines, copiers, phone systems, etc. This position requires the ability to sit for long periods of time and utilize various office equipment (e.g., computer, phone, and calculator) on a continual basis. Infrequent lifting of no more than 30 pounds. Must be able to reach, bend, and twist in a manner conducive to an office environment.
