Oak Hill Boys Ranch
The Oak Hill Boys Ranch is a residential treatment facility that has been operating since 1963 and has evolved into a highly comprehensive residential treatment program. The program offers a broad range of services based on a systematic model that therapeutically engages young people and their families and guides them towards successful futures.
The Ranch offers residential, educational and recreational facilities. Each residence has their own specialized milieu based on a continuum of services designed to meet the varying and changing developmental needs of young people. The school facility offers five classrooms, an industrial arts shop, a full size gymnasium, and a state of the art computer and technology centre. The recreation facilities include horse trails, an outdoor basket ball court, an ice rink, cross country ski trails, an outdoor volley ball court, an adventure-based high and low ropes course, sweat lodges, a tee pee(s), and two large sports fields for baseball, football and soccer.
These facilities provide the infrastructure for a comprehensive package of services that includes: Milieu therapy, educational programming, Aboriginal programming, recreation and fitness programming, Equine programming, farm programming, and outdoor adventures. Individual, family, and group therapy are also offered.
