Raquel Montes has been a Lead Youth Advocate on campus over the last 8 years for Casa Pacifica Centers for Children and Family. She has been recognized locally and nationally as a state leader and has presented to a variety of audiences for youth advocacy. She developed and reestablished California Youth Connection (CYC) Chapter in Ventura County and has served as a voice for youth over the years. In 2011 Raquel graduated from California State University Channel Island with a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology. She is currently finishing her Masters in Social Work degree (MSW) at the California State University, Northridge. Raquel currently serves on the National Steering Committee for the Building Bridges initiative and most recently became part of the ACRC Board.
