Position Function:
Respond to service requests within 24 hours with crisis intervention to stabilize circumstances of family conflict, school attendance issues, and incidents of running away. Provide in-home or in-community assessment and family preservation services, including individual and family sessions, limited case management, and skills-based interventions. Prepare and submit all required documentation and reports in a timely manner. The job requires sensitivity to the service population’s cultural and socioeconomic characteristics.
Requirements:
Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, social services, or a related field. An additional year of experience may be substituted for each year of college (30 credit hours) required to secure a bachelor’s degree. Bilingual skills preferred.
Experience Requirements: A minimum of one year of experience working with at-risk youth, providing crisis intervention, intake and assessment, and case management is required. Ability to demonstrate and quickly acquire strong skills in crisis intervention, Motivational Interviewing, Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI®) Caregiver Training, Seeking Safety curriculum, group facilitation, and public relations required. Excellent communication and time management skills required.
Functional Requirements:
Provide stabilizing, short-term crisis intervention, evidence-based individual and family sessions, evidence-based parenting skills groups, and evidence-based program group facilitation to youth and their families in designated counties. Promote the agency and RHRL Program and advocate for families through professional collaboration within the community. Achieve successful outcomes within prescribed treatment timeframes. Provide community intervention, skills-based sessions, and/or case management services to youth and families in designated counties. Serve as a professional contact in the community. Follow ACH policies and procedures and represent the agency in a positive and professional manner.
Working Conditions:
Exposure to children with behavior problems, including possible physical aggression. Exposure to illness and blood. Risks inherent in traveling into unfamiliar neighborhoods to provide services in family homes, schools, and other designated community locations.

Key Expectations/Responsibilities:
Service Delivery:
- Follow RHRL and agency intake procedures.
- Utilize Motivational Interviewing, TBRI®, Seeking Safety, Brief Strategic Family Therapy® approaches, and facilitate skills-based groups.
- Provide RHRL programming, including:
- Initial intake sessions.
- Family sessions.
- Individual sessions.
- Caregiver skills training groups.
- Youth skills training groups.
- Service planning and service coordination.
- Basic needs support.
- Provide coordination for emergency shelter care services for current clients as needed.
- Provide expedient collaborative crisis intervention throughout the contract service area.
- Provide crisis curriculum-based intervention sessions with individuals and families.
- Work collaboratively with Counselors, Skills Training Coordinators, Resource Navigators, Kinship Navigators, the Safe Place® Coordinator, AIRS Department, ACH Youth Emergency Shelter, law enforcement, emergency medical services, Child Protective Services, and other protective and regulatory agencies.
- Comply with required weekly scheduled session expectations.
- Fulfill billing requirements.
- Provide case management services as needed.
- Maintain cultural competence and attend training necessary to effectively serve diverse populations.
- Offer services after normal business hours, on holidays, and during assigned on-call rotations.
- Participate in the Safe Place® on-call rotation and respond to calls within established timeframes.
- Maintain necessary documentation and files to fulfill RHRL and agency requirements.
- Teach and facilitate curriculum-based individual and group sessions using agency-approved evidence-based curricula.
- Complete additional duties and assignments as directed.
Community Relations:
- Increase utilization of RHRL services through community outreach and program promotion.
- Build and maintain collaborative relationships with local youth services, criminal justice, educational, and social service agencies.
- Provide presentations to schools, organizations, and community groups as needed.
Training and Supervision:
- Attend all required trainings and participate in supervision activities necessary to meet RHRL program requirements.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain up-to-date client records.
- Adhere to all agency and contractual requirements for case notes, Action Plans, pre- and post-surveys, consumer satisfaction surveys, and all other required documentation.
- Accurately complete documentation and billing requirements in a timely manner.
