Develop, plan, and implement diverse and creative on-campus activities and programming, including but not limited to field day, dances, community meetings, and holiday celebrations. Plan, coordinate, and implement on-site and off-site recreational/therapeutic activities that may include, but not be limited to the following: swimming; adaptive horsemanship, after-school clubs; arts & crafts programming; exercise outings; and volunteer activities. Organize Special Olympics programming, including recruiting coaches and student participation, proper tournament scheduling, communication with the parent community, and ensuring all paperwork is completed and submitted. Train and supervise staff and/or volunteers during activities to ensure things are well-organized and operating efficiently. Directly assist with overseeing the staff and/or volunteers managing activities or events. Help drive the Latham campus community engagement through participation or the creation of initiatives. Maintain space and equipment used for activities. Attend all mandatory training and maintain any needed certifications. Attend all supervisory team meetings and events. All other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor. Any work assigned shall be related to the Employee’s normal duties, except for occasional emergencies.
