Hiring Range: $70,862-$88,578

Primary Responsibilities:

The Human Resource Director is responsible for overall implementation of HR functions for the agency including but not limited to staffing, employee relations, compensation, benefits, safety, compliance, licensing, and accreditation.  Reviews federal and state laws related to employment practices.

Qualifications: 

Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business or related field and three years of related experience. PHR or SHRM Certification

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and administer an effective recruitment program including placing job advertisements and conducting job fairs.
  • Review applications, check references, coordinate candidate interviews, offers of employment, and process all new employees.
  • Organize, develop, coordinate, and document employee training programs.
  • Interpret, develop, communicate, update and monitor human resource policies, procedures, and guidelines for the Y.E.S., Inc. including the Employee Handbook.
  • Conduct wage and salary surveys and recommend updates to salary structure as needed to stay competitive.
  • Develop, review, and update job descriptions for positions in the agency.
  • Oversee and ensure maintenance of permanent personnel records.
  • Conduct and coordinate new employee orientation.
  • Coordinate employee benefit programs.
  • Receive and investigate complaints and grievances regarding human resource issues.
  • Assist directors, coordinators, and employees in the solution of problems and documentation of actions taken in regards to human resource issues.
  • Monitor employee performance appraisal program.
  • Monitor employee performance appraisal program.
  • Facilitate the annual update of the organization’s strategic plan.
  • Monitor workers’ compensation and unemployment claims.
  • Develop organization succession planning, career planning, and employee development programs.
  • Monitor employee job satisfaction through surveys and other methods to ensure that employees choose to be motivated, contribute their best efforts and are happy in their work.
  • Assist Y.E.S., Inc. Director, as needed, to ensure an effective, efficient, and caring work environment within the Y.E.S., Inc. agency.
