Isabelle Kelly is a postdoctoral researcher at The Blavatnik School of Government, University of Oxford. Her research focuses on children’s social care and the everyday practices and systems through which marketised care currently operates. The present Nuffield-funded study examines how commissioners and providers experience and account for the children’s residential care market in England. With a background in psychology and a research approach grounded in critical constructivist thinking, her work focuses on how structural conditions shape inequalities in society, previously exploring issues related to social class and addictions.
