Kylie Gill is a Doctoral Candidate in Law at the University of Limerick, funded by the Higher Education Authority through the Stable Lives, Safer Streets Research Hub. Her research examines how the availability of and access to support systems during the transition from out-of-home care influences care leavers’ contact with the criminal justice system across Ireland and Northern Ireland. She has practitioner experience working with children in residential and secure care, leaving care supported accommodation, and with the homeless community in Northern Ireland.
