Mary Elizabeth Rauktis earned was Director of Research and Evaluation at Pressley Ridge, an international nonprofit provider of services to children and families and has been Research faculty at Pitt since 2007. Her research focuses on children in out of home care—residential or foster care—in the United States, Germany, Portugal and India. She has expanded this research to the human-animal bond, focusing on the roles of animals in the home and residential center.
