Neve Oprins is a PhD candidate in Child & Education Studies at Erasmus University Rotterdam investigating professionals’ empathy in their interactions with youth in residential youth care settings. Her current work involves a literature review examining how empathy is conceptualized and measured in this context. Building on this, she will conduct an ESM study with youth to capture real-time experiences of empathy and its relationship to well-being. Neve’s research aims to contribute to improved care practices and youth outcomes.
