John S. Lyons, PhD, is a professor at the University of Chicago School of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neuroscience. He is the original developer of TCOM and its tools (CANS/ANSA/FAST/CAT). Dr. Lyons has created and supported the use of evidence-based assessments worldwide, including the Child and Adolescent Needs and Strengths (CANS), Family Advocacy and Support Tool (FAST), and Adult Needs and Strengths Assessment (ANSA). Dr. Lyons has published more than 200 peer-reviewed publications and six books, including Communimetrics and Transformational Collaborative Outcomes Management: Managing the Business of Personal Change. He has dedicated his career to creating strategies that effectively represent underrepresented populations in policy decision-making.
