In the United States, the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Authority (SAMHSA) recently released National Guidelines for Child and Youth Behavioral Health Crisis Care, underscoring that children in crisis are different from adults. As Providers around the world are being asked to create children’s crisis stabilization services, ACRC is gathering information on best practices, innovations, and regulations in regards to providing this service provision. We will be highlighting five organizations who have added crisis stabilization centers to their service array and will share their funding models, referral sources, internal processes, and outcomes. Whether you are in the development stage or actively running a program, this is an opportunity to learn from your colleagues.
