Position Function:
Manage the team’s post-award administration of public grants and contracts that support client services. Support, coach and supervise direct reports. Serve as account lead in the post-award on assigned awards.. Serve as backup to Director of Public Grants and Contracts for pre-award activities as needed. Encourage compliance with public grants and contracts.
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communication Studies, English, Journalism, Public Administration or related field from an accredited institution.
Experience: Minimum of five years of professional experience in post- award administration of public grants and contracts required. Minimum of three years of pre-award experience in public grants and contracts required. Minimum of two years of supervisory experience required. Three years of experience in customer service in a professional office environment required.

Key Expectations/Responsibilities:
Overall:
- Manage the team’s post-award administration
- Serve as backup to Director for pre-award activities as needed
- Support, mentor and supervise direct reports
- Mentor direct reports in professional grants and contracts management
- Serve as an account lead on assigned awards
- Develop and maintain regular contact and positive relationships with program leadership
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with points of contact for assigned awards
- Encourage compliance with grant and contract requirements
- Maintain professionalism in all interactions
Pre-Award:
Serve as backup to Director of Public Grants and Contracts for pre-award activities as needed
Post-Award:
- Manage grants and contracts administration performed by direct reports
- Supervise and guide direct reports in their review of award documents and processing of awards to ensure accuracy
- Oversee direct reports’ document management, task and project management and deadline management
- Support direct reports in package and summary preparation, preparation and maintenance of tools that promote compliance, post-award report coordination, monitoring coordination and other tasks. Provide ongoing feedback and mentoring on each aspect.
- Support team members in conducting post-award meetings and providing support and technical assistance to internal customers
- Serve as account lead by administering assigned awards
- Participate in monthly grant review meetings convened by the Finance Department
