Savarra Howry, MSW is a Ph.D. Student and Research Assistant for the Institute for Quality Children’s Services in the College of Social Work at Florida State University. As part of her Legacy Fellowship at Florida State University, she assists Dr. Shamra Boel-Studt in her research involving youth in residential care. Ms. Howry’s research is focused on quality of life of transition-aged foster youth and examining mental health outcomes, health risks and resilience among youth involved in the child welfare system.
