Dana began her professional career in 1989 as a Youth Care Worker at St. Aemilian-Lakeside, Inc., at the East Campus which was located next to St. Mary’s Hospital along the lake. She immediately found a passion working with the older adolescent youth, which led her to work in a variety of Youth Care positions and continue with her Master’s degree, becoming a therapist on one of the units on the Capitol Drive campus. She began working with girls in 2000, at Milwaukee Academy, and became the Director in 2004. Since 2008, Dana has added a specific program for young women impacted by the sex trade. Some of Dana’s attributes include: clinical team leadership development, Trauma Informed and gender specific program design and development, and advocacy for children’s mental health. Dana has committed her career to working with youth and their families to be empowered to overcome great odds to live a full and healthy life.
