Identifying and Supporting Minor Male Survivors of Commercial Sexual Exploitation

This morning’s presentation brings the often-overlooked pandemic of commercial sexual exploitation of minor males to the forefront and includes a screening of BOYS followed by a moderated panel discussion of professionals with lived experience. Boys Documentary tells the narrative of minor male sex trafficking through the voices of four brave men and a collection of allies who stand with them in solidarity. Panelists will discuss prevalence research, models of trafficking commonly experienced by male survivors, risk factors and vulnerability, the nexus between substance dependency, mental health and commercial sexual exploitation, and culturally responsive engagement and support.
