Acknowledging and Addressing the Impact of Perpetual Racial Trauma on Children and Youth Served in Children’s Residential Programs

Through presentation and group discussions, participants will develop a fuller contextual understanding of the experiences of children and families, particularly their histories of both complex and racial trauma; and explore culturally based adaptive responses within culturally and ethnically diverse families that are often misperceived as problems rather than strengths.
