The purpose of this presentation is to offer an overview of secondary traumatic stress (STS). The ability to help traumatized children depends upon one’s ability to stay emotionally healthy, regulated and motivated in difficult and often very frustrating situations. This presentation will explore the symptoms and strategies to prevent and treat STS.
