David Wallace, LCSW-R is currently the Executive Director at LaSalle School in Albany, NY, a provider of residential and out-patient treatment services to youth and families with complex mental illness, sexual abuse, and substance abuse treatment needs. Mr. Wallace prior was the Director of Clinical Services at LaSalle School. Drawing on nearly 20 years of experience in child welfare, juvenile justice, and mental health, Mr. Wallace has developed a specialization in the treatment of juvenile sexual aggression and trauma. Mr. Wallace is also an active trainer, speaking to audiences throughout the nation, and has consulted for numerous government and private agencies across New York. Beyond his clinical experience, Mr. Wallace holds an Adjunct Faculty position at the Sage Graduate School and has served as a Ph. D. Dissertation Committee member with the State University at Albany, School of Criminal Justice. He is also a member of the American Association of Children’s Residential Center’s National Program Committee, serves on the Board of Directors for the NYS Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers and the NYS Alliance of Sex Offender Service Providers, and is a member of the NYS OASAS Adolescent Clinical Advisory Panel and Level of Care (LOCADTR) Design Committee. His insights on trauma informed care and the effective treatment of court involved youth have appeared in several articles published by the Schenectady Gazette, New York Nonprofit Press, and ACEs Too High.
