Dustin’s residential therapy experience includes eighteen years working in intensive in-patient residential treatment settings, outpatient therapy, transition services and rape and suicide crisis lines. He raised foster children in his home and has adopted two children. His clinical expertise is in the areas of healing trauma, attachment disorders, sexual abuse, personality disorders, eating disorders and depression. He holds a master’s degree in marriage and family therapy from Amridge University and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Brigham Young University. Dustin is trained in DBT, psychodrama and equine assisted therapy. Dustin is the President and Chief Clinical Officer of InnerChange, a private healthcare company which provides services to multiple residential therapy programs in the western United States. In 1996 he was a founding employee of the very first InnerChange partner Program, New Haven, shaping what would become InnerChange’s clinical philosophy and its extensive employee training program. Dustin’s volunteer experience includes ACRC’s Membership committee, the National Association of Therapeutic Schools and Programs’ Government Relations Committee, Assistant Scoutmaster with the Boy Scout of America, serving as Secretary on the board of Early Light Academy (his children’s charter school), and various youth group service with his local church community. Dustin has five children (2 girls, 3 boys). He loves to hike Utah’s unique landscapes with his children. He enjoys jazz music and plays the trombone and the Native American flute. Dustin likes traveling to new places, home improvement projects, snowmobiling, gardening, and reading business, history and fantasy.
