This webinar will provide an overview of the role and value of mental health occupational therapy (OT) in working with youth and families involved in residential placements, many who have or may have experienced trauma. OT assessments and modalities reviewed include: sensory modulation, sensory room / environment development, and cognitive functional performance. Various OT models of service delivery in residential and home-based programs will be presented, and possible funding options for newly developed OT services examined.
