Topic: Use of Seclusion/Restraint Prevention Tools | Guest Speakers: Celeste Walley (Youth Peer Facilitator), Beth Caldwell (Core Strategy Faculty), and a Program Leader

Description: Including use of self to promote connection and support, trauma assessments, a range of sensory modulation approaches, individualized calming/soothing/safety plans, creating calming physical environments of care, and a variety of effective de-escalation strategies.

ACRC members have asked for more information to support them in their efforts to prevent/reduce the use of coercive practices, including restraints, so ACRC is offering this 7-session training series providing overviews of and practice applications for each of the evidence-based Six Core Strategies©.
