About ACE Symposium

After two very long years of COVID-19, we are all exhausted. This is especially true for those of us who were essential to the needs of children, families, and our communities. Human service providers, educators, and first responders have long been known to have higher than average lived experiences of ACEs and other traumas. This coupled with the extraordinary demands we’ve experienced as a sector has left many of us experiencing compassion fatigue and wondering if we can continue to serve in these important roles. Related, provider agencies are navigating historic shortages of staff and are doing all they can to identify, recruit, and retain dedicated individuals to continue to do trauma informed work. Join us for an important discussion of how we can all promote resilience, healing, and selfcare to ensure a healthy community of helpers.
