Staff turnover is a continual hurdle for human services organizations, with turnover rates in child welfare in particular hovering between 20 – 40% for the past 15 years. Given the importance of human service work for our communities, families, and the general public, it is urgent that we address the revolving door currently observed in the human services workforce.

This interactive webinar will explore what evidence-based practices in human services can teach us about staff selection, onboarding and training methodologies, and long-term strategic planning to reduce turnover in human services organizations. Using evidence-based practice implementation as our jumping-off point, we will look at how implementation science offers us a framework to be more intentional when it comes to change-processes, and why it is critically important that we evaluate and understand our organizational cultures in order to ensure that the changes we seek are achieved in a timely manner, and aligned with organizational realities across all levels of clients, staff, and leadership.
