I would like to provide key supports/resources such as bilingual staff, case management, youth care workers, or supplies.

Providing key supports and resources

There are Several Ways to Help

A variety of resources and supports are needed to help unaccompanied children, and we know there are people who don’t have licensed foster care or residential beds available but may be able to help in other ways. Businesses, organizations, and associations with support resources that UC providers need to be able to care for and house children and youth (e.g. bi-lingual staff, licensed childcare workers, staff who can perform case management) have the following options:

Next Steps:

Follow PATH 3 on the chart

Option A – Please fill out this ORR survey, which will prompt you to share information about your organization’s resources and ability to meet the present needs to support the effort to expand licensed beds for unaccompanied children. The survey will help you understand the best path or option for considering if this is a fit for your organization’s capabilities, resources, and interests.

Interested Provider Survey

Staff and other resources may be considered for an ORR contract if viable and relevant to the needs.

  • For staff resources: Please complete the information in the linked survey noting number of available staff, location, availability, specific skills, expertise and licenses (if relevant).
  • For other resources: Please complete the information in the linked survey noting the specific resources, time available, and any other details that ORR will need to understand capacity and availability.

Option B: Respond to an open contracts solicitation

There are existing open contract solicitations for a key group of required services:

Providers may review the solicitation and apply directly to the opportunity.

Please direct questions about this process to the Office of Refugee Resettlement Unaccompanied Children Program at DUCO_POInfoRequests@acf.hhs.gov.

Opportunities for Individuals to Help

The Office of Refugee Resettlement is offering paid, short-term positions dedicated to supporting government response efforts to the surge of unaccompanied children in certain areas of the country. Please see the following announcement from AmeriCorps regarding the types of positions and skills ORR is seeking to fill and how to apply HERE

ACF is developing a website for individual volunteers to sign up to work at Emergency Intake Sites. We will share that website as soon as it is available.
