Position Function:

Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies, Journalism, Public Administration, Business, or a related field from an accredited institution.
Experience: At least one year of professional experience in grants or grants and contracts, collaborating with funded programs to write grant or contract reports and funding proposals for client services, or similar professional experience, and at least one year of professional experience developing and managing funding proposals and funding awards, or similar professional experience. At least one year of professional customer service experience.

Key Expectations/Responsibilities:
Overall Responsibilities:
- Manage all assigned awards as account lead and oversee all tasks associated with those awards, including administrative tasks such as calendar reminders and electronic filing on the G and P drives.
- Save all assigned award documents in the appropriate location on the G or P drive as soon as they are received.
- Maintain general knowledge of grant and contract requirements to support funded programs.
- Maintain a professional demeanor in all interactions with internal and external customers.
Pre-Award Responsibilities:
- Serve as the overall Document Manager for “Refresh” and other pre-award submissions, including new contract applications and funding proposals.
- Understand all funding proposal document requirements and complete proposal formatting to maximize pages and create the most professional presentation possible.
- Gather data for proposals as requested and create charts, graphs, or figures to support proposal development.
Post-Award Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain electronic files for each funding award containing all pre-award and post-award documentation in an organized and standardized format on the G and P drives.
- Compile summaries and award packages for grant and contract awards, save them to the G and P drives, link them within Public Grants & Contracts Spreadsheets, and distribute them to all affected parties.
- Coordinate and facilitate initial post-award meetings for new and multi-year awards to review obligations and provide written summaries to internal stakeholders.
- Update Finance and Human Resources electronic binders on the G and P drives and notify users of updates via email.
- Complete documents required by funding awards, including forms, contracts, grant agreements, and signature documents, and submit them to external customers while verifying receipt.
- Develop and maintain tools that assist programs in tracking and managing outputs and outcomes.
- Collaborate with program staff on ongoing programmatic reports to support and expedite completion.
- Review reports for responsiveness to funder requirements, identify areas for improvement, apply the G&C Style Guide, and develop subsequent drafts that meet funder expectations and team quality standards.
- Utilize standard quality-control, review, and approval processes and save all drafts and final products to the G drive.
- Lead the coordination of public grant and contract monitoring activities unless monitoring responsibilities are exclusively fiscal.
- Serve as an ongoing internal post-award contact for funding awards, providing technical assistance and support to internal customers.
- Conduct quarterly check-ins with funded programs to identify technical assistance needs and provide post-award support.
