Ash Govers is a student in the Master of Social Work Program at Dalhousie University. They have previously worked in shelters with folx exiting trafficking, with youth involved in the child welfare system and in community with youth who have been involved in the criminal legal system. Ash is currently completing their thesis which seeks to understand 1) How queer fox conceptualize good care for themselves and other queer fox; 2) How practitioners conceptualize good care for queer fox; and 3) How Practitioners are educated to provide care to queer fox. The hope is that this research project will generate ideas for transformative practice and will serve as a foundation for policy, education, and curriculum development that centres community voices.
