William Martin, MHSA, Bill has over 40 years of experience in working with young people and their family struggling with behavioral health issues. Most of that time was at Waterford Country School, a not profit agency providing residential treatment, special education, foster care and adoption, emergency shelters, group homes and a variety of other services including an outdoor education center providing a therapeutic animal sanctuary, therapeutic horseback riding, a wildlife rehabilitation center and a challenge ropes course. Bill resigned the position of Executive Director in December and currently serves on the Board of Trustees. Bill has worked for the Residential Child Care Project at Cornell University since 2009 and is currently providing instruction and consultation in there Therapeutic Crisis Intervention program and CARE, their overall treatment model. Bill has presented with Cornell all over the world and is currently active in the project.
