Charel Murrell is the Prevention and Survivor Leadership Manager at My Life My Choice. Charel joined My Life My Choice in 2013 as a Survivor Mentor, where she provided one-on-one support to exploited and high-risk adolescents, helping them find safety and hope while working to build healthy relationships and create independence. In her current position, she plays a key role in helping My Life My Choice achieve its mission by providing one-on-one Survivor Mentoring and survivor-led coaching to Survivor Mentors. She also plays a keys role in leading engaging, survivor-led exploitation prevention programming, training, and coordination, both locally and nationally. Charel uses her personal experience and professional expertise to fight the commercial sex industry by empowering young people to find their own voice, supporting Survivor Mentors in developing as survivor leaders, and educating youth-serving professionals on best practices in exploitation prevention. Charel received her Associate Degree from Roxbury Community College and is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree from Framingham State University.
