Courtney Begin working in child welfare hard to place program in 2017. Took an interest in treatment on the fly in the milieu setting. Worked endlessly to make sure youth were doing activities around the integrated treatment model. Moved up to being an ITM consultant where my job was to not only support and teach but to help with the treatment structure in child welfare, non-secured programs, as well as limited secure programs. Under the direction of Elizabeth Saracco I was able to teach Dialectical Behavior “on the fly”. 2019 I was promoted to an Integrated Treatment Model Coach. I am also the youth co leader of the Gay Straight Alliance here at Childrens Village as well as the LGBTQ point person. I believe relationships are an avenue for change and hope to excel further.
