Danielle Sullivan is the Senior Coordinator for the Residential services for Pressley Ridge School for the Deaf (PRSD). Specializing in services for mental health and Deaf diagnosis, PRSD provides treatment to young people from ages 6 to 21 and is located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Danielle is a graduate of California University of Pennsylvania, where she received a Master’s degree in Social Work. Danielle started her career at PRSD as an overnight staff in 2008 with no knowledge of Deaf culture or American Sign Language. Within a few months of working overnights, she became a day teacher/counselor. After about 9 months of working at Pressley Ridge, she was promoted to a Master Teacher/Counselor position. After a few years, Danielle was promoted to the Program Supervisor at that same time completed her Master’s degree. After graduation, Danielle continued with her field of study and became a Licensed Social Worker. While working toward becoming a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Danielle, a fluent ASL signer, provides mental health therapy to the Deaf population in rural areas. She has contributed to the residential program for 11 years and continues to be a resource as a valuable leader.
