Deb has experienced the system both as a child of abuse and a parent of a child with addiction. She lived the full range of experiences that come with being the single parent of a drug addict while raising three other children. His addictions took her through years of truancy and being on the run, not knowing if he was alive or dead, various treatment centers when he was apprehended by the police, mental health evaluations and diagnoses, the court processes, juvenile detention – along with the hopes, fears and crushed dreams, and the roller coaster ride of emotions that come with your childs bad decisions and the effect those decisions have upon the entire family. Deb works as a Parent Partner at Nexus in Minnesota.
