Denise Luft is a certified member of the National Counseling Association and a licensed Mental Health Counselor in New York. Ms. Luft has worked with children and families at Green Chimneys Residential Treatment Center for over 18 years. Most of her time at Green Chimneys, she has been a direct care role as a residential staff and as a therapist. In later years, she became a supervisor in the clinical program. Ms. Luft specializes in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) adapted for children, an evidence-based treatment that focuses on emotion regulation. Ms. Luft is currently, the Director of Quality Assurance and Compliance; her main role is to assist all employees with a performance quality improvement plans for program development; including restraint elimination. Ms. Luft has previously presented at professional conferences, including ACRC.
