Mary provides intensive, collaborative consulting to public and private child welfare agencies to strengthen implementation of front-line best practice and supervision. Her specialty is implementing permanency strategies that promote permanence-focused youth and family engagement, team planning and decision-making.
She has helped to develop practice models that integrate family centered practice principles, older youth engagement and trauma informed approaches to achieve safety, permanency and well- being outcomes for children and youth.
Mary has worked in child welfare for over 35 years, starting as a direct frontline practitioner, supervisor and director including many years of providing national technical assistance, through training, coaching and strategic consultation
