Melissa received her undergraduate degree in sociology from the University of New Hampshire and her master’s degree in criminal justice from Roger Williams University. Melissa has academically focused her interests on child abuse and neglect and juvenile delinquency. Since 2008, Melissa has been working in residential group home care for teenagers, growing through entry level positions to leadership roles. She has also served in the State of NH’s Child Protection System and came to Dover Children’s Home in 2016 as the Program Director. Since then, she has become the Quality Improvement Specialist, Mandt System trainer and TBRI practitioner, training staff on being restraint free and building relationships with youth. Melissa also sits as a board member for a NH nonprofit that serves victims of human trafficking.
