Sarah Wintman is an independently Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Massachusetts and a Registered Play Therapist. Sarah became a mental health therapist at the Walden School under The Learning Center for the Deaf in Framingham in 2016. There she works with residential deaf youth ages 7-22. In 2016, Sarah also became certified in Sensory Motor Arousal Regulation Treatment. Sarah is hearing but has been working with Deaf youth for about 10 years and is fluent in American Sign Language.
Presentation Experience:
Over the past two years, I have been developing and presenting various presentations related to play, trauma, and deaf youth within the residential setting. Over the last year, I have presented at The Learning Center in two campus-wide trainings reading traumatized youth, as well as presenting at the University of Massachusetts Undergraduate Child and Adolescent Counseling class focusing on how I use play therapy with deaf youth.
