Dr. Harris is presently the Executive Director of Autism Services for Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health. In his current role, he coordinates the design and leads Devereux’s national autism initiatives, assesses and provides consultation and training to Devereux centers, and provides direct oversight to Devereux’s Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (D-PBIS) Autism model. Along with teaching the Autism Specialization courses at the University of Delaware in the past, Dr. Harris has also published and presented research in the areas of teaching functional communication skills and PECS, staff and family support and training practices, community-based transition programming, and methods to reduce unwanted behaviors through positive approaches.
