Val Villano, LICSW, graduated with her MSW in 2012 and started off as a clinician at a group home and a therapeutic afterschool program before finding her passion of working with adolescents in residential care.  Val has been with JRI at the Walden Street School since 2015; previously the Clinical Director, she has overseen the implementation of clinical programming and individualized treatment plans for all youth programmatically, as well as the training of clinicians and staff in this area.  Val is trained in ARC (Attachment, Regulation, and Competency framework) and SMART (Sensory Motor Arousal Regulation Treatment) and incorporates them into her daily work; she well-versed in working with youth having experienced complex developmental trauma as well as high conflict families.
