Beyond Awareness: Practical Application of the My Life My Choice Prevention Solution Model

In this presentation we will be discussing the My Life My Choice Prevention Solution Model (PSM) as a method to prevent the commercial sexual exploitation of children (CSEC) living in congregate care.  The presentation will provide basic information about CSEC prevention and the approaches used at My Life My Choice, discuss the components of the PSM, and review the importance of data collection and evaluation and of having a comprehensive CSEC policy in place at youth-serving organizations.  The presentation will conclude with a discussion of how to implement next steps in CSEC prevention in audience members’ programs and communities.
