YOUTH-GUIDED CARE

This Youth-Guided Care Webinar consists of four different learning activity opportunities:

  • Video Part One: Youth-guided Care: Strategies for Improving Program Practices and Staff Skills – featuring a residential organization executive with over 20 years’ experience and a youth peer partner:  This video is approximately 48 minutes long.
  • Video Part Two: Youth-guided Care: Strategies for Improving Program Practices and Staff Skills – featuring a program manager with just two years’ experience supervising a residential program and a former youth in care as a facilitator: This video is approximately 25 minutes long.
  • Educational Materials: There are several educational materials included for viewers (e.g., the power point slide deck of the presentation; a document summarizing key points made during the webinar; a curated list of youth-guided care resources for residential programs; etc.)
  • Bonus Video (To be added in February 2024): Youth Guided Care (YGC) & Trauma-informed Care (TIC): Adaptations for youth with Developmental Disabilities, Intellectual Disabilities and/or Cognitive Impairments (DD/ID/CI), and their families – featuring an organization executive who has worked in, led and/or overseen residential programs serving youth with developmental disabilities, intellectual disabilities and/or cognitive impairments (DD/ID/CI) for over 20 years:  This short video is only approximately 20 minutes long.
